Hello,
I'm delighted that you’re considering us to support you/your child on your journey toward healing and growth. Our team is committed to providing a safe and compassionate environment where you can feel understood and empowered.
At Kaleidoscope Clinic, we specialize in trauma-informed care, a practice that acknowledges and respects the profound impact trauma can have on an individual’s well-being. Our approach is rooted in creating a supportive space where you are treated with empathy, dignity, and respect. We understand that each person's experience with trauma is unique, and we are dedicated to tailoring our services to meet your/your child's individual needs.
We prioritize creating a safe and welcoming environment, both physically and emotionally, so that you can feel secure as you navigate your healing process. Our waiting areas are family friendly, and our hours respect the fact that many caregivers can't leave work weekly to take their child to therapy.
Before you trust us with your/your child's recovery, learn a little more about my qualifications in trauma treatment.
I am a graduate of University of Arkansas Little Rock with a master's degree in Social Work. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist in Sex Trafficking and Exploitation (CCTS-S). I also have training and hold a certification in neuropsychotherapy (NPT-C).
I have extensive experience and education working with youth survivors of sexual and physical abuse, survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking, and commercial sexual exploitation which carries with it a unique, complex set of traumatic symptoms. I utilize evidence-based treatments such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and aspects of art and play therapy, among others, to help children and adolescents process the trauma(s) they've endured and grow from their experiences. When necessary, I also assist youth and their families by being a support to them as they navigate the court system utilizing psychoeducation and mindfulness.
When I'm not in the clinic, I serve on the Advisory Council to the Arkansas Supreme Court's Commission on Children, Youth, and Families. I provide training to community organizations on trauma informed caregiving and domestic minor sex trafficking. And I was proud to have served on Governor Sanders' Arkansas Strategic Plan for Foster Care work group.
I reside in Conway while having a passion for serving in our more rural communities as well. Even though I'm an elder millennial who enjoys all the things that make teens cringe, I have a knack for connecting with tweens and teens which helps me guide them on their healing journey.
If you think we'd be a good fit for you/your child, don't hesitate to reach out to schedule an appointment.
Thank you,
Courtney
